AccuTrak rolled-out the retail industry's first voice-enabled inventory and data collection system, VoTrak. On September 17, 2005, the system was introduced to the network of AccuTrak franchisees at a conference in Myrtle Beach, SC.
VoTrak is a collection of wireless headsets, a portable computer, and custom software all working together. Using VoTrak, Inventory analysts will navigate retail and convenience stores counting merchandise, such as bottles of soda, candy bars, etc. Equipped with a headset, each analyst speaks into the microphone, marking the beginning and end of each section, item prices, and the number of items at each price.
